A Profile Of: Darcy Robson
Check out a profile of Darcy Robson - Deputy Head Boy.
During school hours, Darcy spends his days studying English, Modern Studies, Chemistry, Geography, Politics and Graphics. In other words, he has written an awful lot of essays. It is all worth it as he prepares for a career in the journalism industry. He has penned a few articles for his local newspaper and written many posts on his blog all about film and TV. The opportunity to discuss one of his favourite topics, telly, was such a draw for him and his six-post series to celebrate Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary is some of his favourite work. This led to his short reviews being seen by the cast and creatives of the show, including showrunner and writer Russell T Davies. Apart from watching and reporting on TV, in his spare time Darcy is involved in the local community through his role as secretary on the Gordon Civic Week committee. One of his proudest moments was being appointed as the first Gordon Flag Bearer all the way back in primary 7 by the committee itself. A role which he managed to pass on in June 2024. Community is a value that is so important, whether it’s where you live, your school or a community of like-minded TV fans.
