Week Beginning 30/09/24
Primary 7 Parents' Information Evening
On Wednesday 25th September we welcomed Primary 7 parents to hear information on our transition process. There were inputs from Cluster Lead Kevin Wilson (Headteacher at Earlston and Gordon PS), S2 pupils Shaun and Lilly and Mr McKenzie (PT Guidance).
We were also joined by some of our Cluster partners such as Stable Life, School Nurse Team, Quarriers Counselling Service, Police Scotland, DYW and Skills Development Scotland.
Hot Chocolate Friday
On Friday 27th September I was joined by Councillor David Parker and his Guide Dog Clive to celebrate Kirsty & Ava who represented Scotland at the Junior Home International Hill Running event. Mr Shaw (Faculty Head of Maths and Numeracy) was nominated by Mrs Weston for leadership during difficult times.
Catch and Release Video
Fisheries Management Scotland are producing a national catch and release video and three of our TweedStart Ambassadors are going to participate in the filming on Thursday 3rd October at Bemersyde.
Values
As part of our refresh of our Vision, Values and Aim young people will be actively involved this week in helping choose our values from a shortlist.
Fit for Girls Ambassadors 2024/25
Our ambassadors are committed to increasing girls’ engagement and enjoyment in PE, physical activity and sport. They are Ava, Charlotte, Imogen, Josie, Kerris and Naomi
