While Ellie studies biology, geography, and history during the school day, much of her attention is focused on playing rugby. A sport which has led her to play at national level for Scotland. Making tackles, scoring tries, winning games. It is an incredibly difficult game, and many couldn’t do it, but Ellie has managed to climb the ladder to play not only for the Scotland team but also Watsonians. How she has time to come to school is a wonder, but beyond that her hope is to go to university and study ecology and environmental science. Her passion for geography meant that with dedication and hard work, she managed to crash Higher Geography and continue to the advanced higher course this year. Whether it’s a sunset or the northern lights, Ellie will travel great distances to see it for herself. This dedication and passion go a long way towards being prepared to study beyond Earlston High School.
